The Berry Islands
The Berry Islands consist of about 30 cays (small island) and around 100 islets (very small islands). This island chain is northeast of Andros, and comprise the northwestern part of the Out Islands. The two largest Cays are Great Harbor Cay and Chub Cay. The Berry Islands consist of 30 square miles and roughly 700 full time residents. Most of the residents reside in one of the two larger cays. A new seasonal resident of this group are the US mainland millionaires whose real estate purchases include entire cays and islets for themselves. Great Harbor Cay is the most northern and the largest of the cays. Chub Cay is the second largest and is known amongst fishermen for its' bill fish. Anglers come from all over for champion sports fishing and it is second only to the Biminis.
